Along
with everyone else who lived and worked through the dot.com, we all dot.bombed.
We fled the Bay Area in droves, searching for jobs. When I moved back to
my hometown of St. Helena I discovered the wine industry had very little
interest in technology. It was 2001, and wine could only sell direct-to-consumer
in eleven states. But laws slowly changed and I evolved with it –
I have designed over 20 ecommerce websites in 8 years. (The logo is a fruit
fly, which is familiar to everyone in the industry.) |
