For
18 years I raced yachts on the San Francisco Bay flying spinnakers. You
meet a lot of people in this sport and one of them, the owner of a yacht
club, wanted to expand his services to Fiji. He needed to promote the trip
and asked me to do a story for publication. The wind was wild, the people
were friendly, and the water so clear you could see 20 feet down. I wanted
a good view from above to catch the colors. I’ve spent a lot of time
hanging from the mast, untangling halyards, so they hitched me up to the
top so I could take this shot. |
