The Livingstons are some of the loveliest people I’ve ever known.
When I first visited them at their home amongst their vineyards in the valley,
I was shown their wine cellar. As most cellars are, it was dark, and if
memory serves me right, there was a subtle lighting, which gave it a nice
warm glow. Black and gold seemed fitting. He was a geologist and wanted
me to somehow create a logo reminiscent of a slice of terra firma. No one
needed to know what it was. He was happy as long as he knew what it was.
